About Fresno Reel Pride
From humble beginnings in a Fresno State classroom, Fresno Reel Pride has evolved into the sixth oldest, and one of the largest, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) film festivals in the United States.
Fresno Reel Pride is a celebration of LGBTQ cinema and is a premier cultural event in Central California attracting thousands of attendees, filmmakers and stars to its five day festival of international feature films, documentaries, and shorts.
Fresno Reel Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The mission of Fresno Reel Pride is to increase the awareness of the LGBTQ community through the exhibition of film, exploring LGBTQ themes at an annual festival in Fresno. Fresno Reel Pride, through the universal appeal of movies, works to produce a major cultural event for the entire Central Valley community designed to enhance community acceptance and understanding, while adding to the diversity of a culturally rich city.
