ABOUT THE FILM

Victor and Fernando are two beauty professionals living in Baja California, Mexico and are known for beautifying Mexicali socialites. For many of their customers they were a lovely couple, until they decided to marry and become the first gay couple in the state to fight for their rights in a place filled with homophobia and inequality. Facing a wave of criticism and outrage from the city council, through their struggle, they managed to open the eyes of the members of Baja Californian society. In its most basic elements, NO DRESS CODE REQUIRED is a simple love story of a couple who are fighting for their own rights to love one another, and for the rights of all LGBTQ Mexicans.
