A work-in-progress since 2003, Bears perfectly captures the lifestyle and spirit of those huggable hairy men we all adore.
Following the quest for the Mr. International Bear Contest, Klasfeld gets unique access to regional Mr. Bear winners, including our own Golden Valley Mr. Bear (with footage shot at The Den!).
Once contestants arrive at the annual contest in San Francisco, they are put under intense scrutiny (and spankings, and kissings, and…um…‘unique’ raffle sales techniques) by the anonymous panel of judges as they interact, socialize and perform a variety of required tasks.
With some contestants attracted to and yet competing against the others, the heat is on to win the coveted title. Typical contest antics ensue, including injury, high-level marketing, and tons of money raised for charity by these lovable guys, raising the ‘Woof’ to the end with their strong and sexy behavior.
“Bears” reminds us that there are many forms of beauty that cannot be quantified by waist size or tufts of hair.
